BAPTISM AND COMMUNION SUNDAY
Sunday, June 15, 2025, Father’s Day
A BAPTISM SUNDAY will take place on Father’s Day (Sunday, June 15, 2025). Maisie Helen McFarland, daughter of Jeremy and Amy (Lunn) McFarland and Harrison Harold Bines, son of Elijah and Alexa (Gray) Bines will be baptized with Reverend Bruce Cook officiating. COMMUNION will also be celebrated.

Weekly Announcements
June 1, 2025
SUNDAY SCHOOL (KID’S CLUB) takes place each Sunday with children sitting with their families in the sanctuary for the first part of our service and then going over to the church hall after the Children’s Time. There will be no SUNDAY SCHOOL on June 1 and 8. The last day will be on June 15. There will be a summer party planned but there is no date as of yet.
WOMEN’S PRAYER AND BIBLE STUDY GROUP – Meets on Thursday afternoons at 1:30 p.m. in the room at the back of the church.
UCW will meet on Tuesday, June 10 at 1:00 p.m. at the church hall.
There will be a JOINT SERVICE CELEBRATING THE 100th ANNIVERSARY OF THE FORMATION OF THE UNITED CHURCH OF CANADA on Sunday, June 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Hope United Church, 3219 Elgin Street, Alvinston. A light lunch with birthday cake will follow the service. Members of our congregation are invited to join a mass choir; if interested in singing, email Laura Breen at [email protected] or call or text her at 519-464-8459. Rehearsals (not required to attend all) are on Wed, May 28th at 7:00 p.m., Wed, June 4th at 7:00 p.m., and Sun June 8th at 12:30 p.m. (before the service). Laura will send out music and recordings for people to practice at home.
The Sarnia Lambton United Churches are hosting A GIFT OF MUSIC concert at Grace United Church, Sarnia on Saturday, June 7 at 7:30 p.m. in recognition of the 100th Anniversary of the United Church of Canada. The $15.00 tickets are available through Grace United (519-542-1203) or Dunlop Central United (519-337-3061). Proceeds to go towards Lambton County United Church Projects.
Do you knit or crochet? We have a need for “PRAYER BLANKETS”, big enough to wrap around someone like a large cozy shawl. After we cover the blanket and its intended recipient with our prayers it is delivered to someone who is recovering from a serious illness or surgery.
FAITH MISSIONS – The committee encourages everyone to bring non-perishable goods to be placed in the basket at the back of the church. They will be delivered to the Little Free Pantry in Florence. The pantry needs our help as they are re-filling the cupboard every day.
